How to use pip value
Understanding pip value helps you size positions and manage risk.
Pip value tells you how much your account moves for each pip of price movement. For example, if pip value is $1 and price moves 50 pips against you, you lose $50.
Use this with your risk percentage to determine position size. If you risk 1% of a $10,000 account ($100) and your stop loss is 20 pips, you need a pip value of $5 ($100 / 20 = $5 per pip).
